PROBLEM
The platform showed the best possible time frame directly coded in by engineers. To give users more control there was a need for a time panel. However, there were few limitations because of data consistency which were avoided in the backend coded time frame but affected the users’ customized choice.
SOLUTION
Softwares
After long discussions with the data scientists and engineers team the best solution developed was to have a two states panels:

“User-selected” state, users’ choice panel in dark purple,
-
“Default” state, coded in engineers choice in light purple.
This solution better the user experience avoiding frustrating error messages by always showing correct values keeping users’ choices central to the map visualization.
